We’re proud to share that the Butler Area Skatepark Association was recently featured in the Butler Eagle, highlighting the work being done to support, improve, and grow skateboarding in Butler.
This feature means a lot to us, not because it puts us in the spotlight, but because it helps shine a light on the skate community here. The kids who show up every day. The parents who support them. The volunteers who give their time. The local businesses and donors who believe skateboarding belongs in this town.
Why This Matters
Skateboarding has always been about more than tricks. It is about community, self expression, persistence, and giving people a place where they belong. Coverage like this helps legitimize that message beyond the skatepark and into the wider Butler community.
It also helps us:
Reach new supporters and volunteers
Build credibility as a registered nonprofit
Strengthen our case for future fundraising and events
Show that skateboarding here is organized, positive, and worth investing in
Thank You
Huge thanks to the Butler Eagle for taking the time to listen to our story and share it with the community. An even bigger thank you to everyone who has supported BASA so far, whether that is donating, volunteering, spreading the word, or just showing up and skating.
This is only the beginning.
